Falls are preventable injuries that impact the quality of life of older adults. It is important to talk to your healthcare team and take steps to reduce risk and prevent falls.
Speak Up
Talk to your primary care provider and the rest of the health care team about any recent falls.
Get Screened
Get screened once a year for fall risk and take steps to address unsteadiness when walking.
Address Risk Factors
Addressing multiple risk factors for falls such as medications, balance, and home safety can reduce falls by 25%.
